Inheritance Tax advice is also available. If you need assistance in dealing with the affairs of a deceased relative or friend where you have been appointed as Executor, or if you need advice where a relative has passed away without leaving a Will, we offer a friendly and sympathetic service. We can simply advise you on what to do next or fully administer the Estate with you. The conveyancing department will deal with any freehold or leasehold properties in the Estate. He can also advise on Deeds of Variation.
This department also deals with the establishment, management and administration of Trusts.
HANCOCK QUINS can prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney for you. We can draw up a Lasting Powers of Attorney Property and Affairs where you appoint people to act on your behalf in relation to the management of your financial affairs, and we can also prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney Personal Welfare where you will appoint people to make decisions for you relating to your medical and personal needs. We are experienced in applying for registration of both types of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the old style Enduring Power of Attorney with the Public Guardianship Office. We can also assist with the management of day to day affairs for an incapacitated person.
If you need to manage the affairs of somebody who is incapacitated but has not themselves made a Lasting Powers of Attorney, we can deal with the application you need to make to be appointed as a Deputy for them by the Court of Protection.
